Trade-In Process

If you choose to trade in your saddle with us, you can trust that we will provide fair value toward your next saddle purchase. Trade-In allows you to apply the value of your current saddle directly toward a new saddle while we handle the evaluation and exchange process.

Follow these steps to request a trade-in:

• Fill out the Trade-In / Sell Request form with accurate and detailed information about your saddle
• Include clear, high-quality photos from multiple angles
• Provide relevant details including condition, brand, and unique features
• Submit the form and wait for our team to review your request

Once approved, we will issue your trade-in credit (approximately 65% of current market value) in the form of an E-Gift Card for use toward any saddle on our website.

Trade-In Fulfillment Process

After your trade-in credit is issued:

You will use your credit toward the purchase of your new saddle on our website. Once your order is placed, you will prepare and ship your trade-in saddle to us

At that time, you may choose one of the following shipping options:

Ship the saddle using your preferred carrier
Request a prepaid UPS shipping label from us (discounted rate, not to exceed $75 depending on box size)
Schedule a drop-off appointment at our shop in North East, Maryland

We will also provide shipping best practices via email to ensure safe and secure delivery.

Once your saddle is received, we verify that it matches the condition described at intake.

If everything checks out, your new saddle will ship within 24 hours.
If the condition differs significantly, we will contact you to renegotiate value or return the saddle at your expense.

Trial / Return Policy Note

Customers may still be eligible for any applicable trial period or return window on their purchased saddle.

However, if a new saddle is returned under a trial or return policy, the original trade-in transaction will automatically convert to an outright purchase at 55% of current market value.

In this case, the originally traded-in saddle will not be returned to the customer. Instead, it is processed as part of the outright purchase transaction.

Trade-In Terms of Service

Trade-In Value and Pricing Strategy

Trade-in values are based on approximately 65% of current market value.

We determine value using:
• Brand and model
• Age and condition
• Market demand
• Comparable sales data
• Overall resale potential

All valuations are based on fair market conditions to ensure accuracy and consistency.

What We Accept

We accept quality used Western, Endurance, and Treeless saddles only that meet one of the following criteria:

Resale value of $500 or greater
Original purchase price of $900 or more

If you are unsure, simply submit your saddle information and we will review it for you.

What We Do Not Accept

We do not accept:

Any English saddles
Any Dressage saddles
Saddles that do not meet minimum value requirements
Saddles in extremely poor, unsafe, or non-resale condition

Excessively dirty saddles may be subject to a $34.99 cleaning fee at our discretion.
