Clinton’s Aussie saddle combines the best features of an Aussie stock saddle and an American western saddle. Made exclusively for Downunder Horsemanship by Martin Saddlery, this saddle is built to work and keep you and your horse comfortable while performing at your best. The saddle tree is precisely assembled with specific angles of alignment to help ensure you have a secure seat, and free-swinging fenders help you balance your weight and keep your feet in proper position. Perfect for trail riding or as a working/training saddle.

For the horse, the saddle is specially designed to encourage and accommodate lateral flexion and movement of the horse’s five body parts, as well as to provide protection during hard stops and turns. The saddle’s smaller, more rounded profile than a typical western saddle is light and comfortable for your horse.

Aussie Stock Saddle
The Clinton Anderson Aussie Saddle is one of the most universal saddles on the market today. Clinton has designed the saddle to fit most breeds of horses. Our saddle is known as a half breed. It has the best features of an Aussie Stock Saddle and an American Western Saddle. The swell, pommel and knee pads are all features of an Aussie Stock Saddle. This saddle is made by Martin Saddlery, Martin being one of the elite names in the saddle industry. Martin develops and produces the highest quality of products on the market today, which is why Clinton endorses and believes in their products.

Our Aussie Saddle is handmade, from its tree all the way to the finished product, in Greenville, TX.

Axis Tree
o Tree is made from South Dakota Pine with a fiberglass cover.  This helps preserve and protect the tree over the life of the saddle.  Fiberglass adds strength to the tree and minimizes the bulk

Tree has a Quarter Horse bar- 23" in length and 100 degrees to the bar.
 Gullet- 6 1⁄2"
 Cantle- 3 3⁄4" high
 Pommel- 14" wide

Horn height is 2 1⁄4", the same as a standard roping horn. Bar tips of the tree are flared out. This accommodates the movement of the horses shoulders and loin. Bars are beveled from the center. Helps prevent dry spots and gives the tree a balanced fit for the horse and the rider

o Our saddle tends to run about one size larger than a traditional western saddle. For example, if you currently ride in a size 16" saddle, you would ride in a size 15" in our saddle.
